Das Haus an der Peripherie (The House on the Periphery)

Michael Ende tells the story of a wondrous house: When Emil comes across an uninhabited house with his brother Joseph, he makes a puzzling discovery: Emil enters the house and wants to leave it again on the opposite side – but in fact he comes back out through the same door. The inexplicable event does not let go of the two boys: when Joseph throws a stone through one of the windows, he notices that a window at the back of the house is also broken – and the stone is lying on the ground. And the mysterious events surrounding the strange house do not cease. The two boys decide to find out the secret of the house ...
