Michael Ende – Magical Worlds

There are not many bookshelves that do not contain at least one copy of “Jim Button” or “The Neverending Story”. But only a few people know that Michael Ende’s great love was the theatre. This richly illustrated book shows his life as an actor and playwright. It introduces his dramas, sketches, libretti and plays for puppet theatre and also looks at the film versions of the novels by the famous writer. So far unpublished texts from the estate have been edited and made available to the public for the first time.
Besides, this first comprehensive documentation of Michael Ende’s work contains a complete register of performances and a filmography.
