Michael Ende

Michael Ende was the son of one of the most important German painters of the 20th century: Edgar Ende. Many things that were driving forces for the father were also decisive for the son. For the visionary painter Edgar Ende art was a step into the unknown, an encounter with angels and demons. To collect ideas he used to withdraw to a darkroom where he waited until piercingly sharp pictures would appear in front of his inner eye.
